This fragment from Gandhara is a representation of a Bodhisattva. The figure wears an elaborate, partially damaged turban, which is decorated with lions and makara. The Bodhisattva has a large downcast eyes, prominent nose, long curly mustache. The earlobes are elongated and decorated with ornate lion-headed earrings that hang down to the broad shoulders. The upper body is decorated with necklaces, a sacred thread, and a trefoil armlet. A robe covers the left shoulder.
