This book is the result of years of collaboration among hundreds of women from many different cultural backgrounds, speaking from their own first-hand experience of living, working, practicing, and communicating across cultures. The essays included here touch on many aspects of Buddhist culture and Buddhist women’s pioneering efforts to expand their cultural horizons through travel, education, meditation, and social activism.
